Today I sort of feel linked back to when I was a religious Jew. We would always say at the Pesach table, “Next year in Jerusalem.” Now I find myself always saying, “Freedom in our lifetime.”
We sure aren’t on the fast track, but more and more people come around every day. More and more people may not immediately agree, but they will stop and listen and have a real discussion about life as we know it. Then they see how coercion is simply unacceptable.
For the tolerant and the freedom-minded, I thank YOU, today and everyday.
